BLOG 02: Photographing in Devon

So I thought I would do things a little bit different for this post and just caption all of the photos.

Before I begin with the photos, I just wanted to give a brief background on this story.

If you know me well then you would know that I massively appreciate time spent with me rather than fancy gifts. With that said my parents decided to take Leo, Amy and myself away for my 30th. The holiday was based in Bigbury on sea, Devon so I knew the weather wasn't going to be great being in October that we was going away but I knew it was going to be the perfect week to relax and spend some quality time with family.

[Burgh island hotel which sits on its own Island connected only by a thin piece of beach]

[ when the tide comes in the island is cut off so the residents of the hotel have to use this monster truck thing ]

[ Amy was desperate to go on this thing all week but the timings for low tide and high tide just didn't work with Leo's sleep pattern]

[My dad with his camera, he is a big reason for myself getting into photography]

[Amy will always be my favourite model, although she does like to put her hands by her side but I'm not one of these photographers that likes to pose people and I would rather people be comfortable in front of the camera. I think I get more genuine responses like this]

[ These photos are a little tricky to do without a tripod, although I did have my tripod with me just didn't carry it around with me during the holiday]

[Leo spent most of the holiday in this baby carrier]

well that's it for this blog, let me know if you prefer this style of blogging rather than larger bits of text.

One final thing from me, as we come into wedding season I've been blown away with the support for my photography and I wanted to keep this year light as it's my first year back into doing weddings. I currently have three more slots for this year.

For those couples that are getting married at The Plough and barn in Leigh get in touch as I'm looking to photograph here more often.

Apart from that, catch me on the next one
